Zuzu Luxe Liquid Eyeliner – Raven

It’s said that the eyes are the window to the soul. I think you can learn a lot about someone through their eyes, and even in how they choose to enhance them. I think it seems as if we like to enhance them the most of all our features too. Following the metaphor, it’s like how people paint the doors to their homes or put shutters or curtains on their windows, we want to make our eyes look most inviting. I don’t know if that makes sense but to me it does and I’m no different. Eye makeup is what […]

Pixi Large Lash Mascara

Mascara is my green beauty nemesis. I just can’t find one that agrees with my eyes. It’s not that I don’t like what they do for my lashes (most of them perform great), it’s more what they do to my eyeballs that I can’t live with. I have some sort of allergy to an ingredient that appears to be in each clean mascara that I’ve tried that leaves my eyes unbearably itchy, puffy and red. Now I haven’t done any sort of hard research or comparison of ingredients to figure out what that pesky allergy-causer is so there might be […]

Put to the test – Round 1

Samples you guys! They are like candy to me. Like if Halloween was just trick-or-treating for skincare samples you couldn’t stop me. I’d be all over that. I’m not joking about my love for samples, I even had a dream last night that I was at a parade and they were throwing skincare samples instead of candy. Can you imagine?! I mean, don’t get me wrong, I LOVE candy too, but I love trying new products even more (ok, maybe it’s a tie). I love sample so much that I will order from companies who sell them or include them […]

Goddess Provisions Box: February

We’re here in midst of the back half of winter and just about now is when the grumpiness over the season sets in. The holidays are long gone, the snow you were hoping would never come came in twice as hard, you’re bundled up so much you can hardly move, everything is dry and creaky and you’ve just about had it. This is when you need reminding of what’s to come. It’s hard to remember that mother nature will wake up in the spring, but she does, like magic! The February Goddess Provisions box is that reminder with the theme […]

Goddess Provisions Box: January

Yeah, yeah, I know we all want to forget January (the black sheep of the months) and hightail it to spring but I must rewind and share the Goddess Provisions box I received last month because it was the perfect theme to start the year off on the right foot and jumpstart my stagnant creativity. The theme was “Let your creativity flow” and included items to help expand creative vision. I think creativity can be harder to dig up during the winter months, but maybe that’s just because we are buried in a foot of snow here and an snuggled […]

Goddess Provisions Box: February

The weather last month was so uncharacteristic of a typical February and March has been off to an interesting start too. I’ve loved being able to soak up some vitamin D here and there. It’s been fantastic for my mental well-being! This of course is not necessarily a good sign for the future of our planet, but that’s a topic for a different day. None-the-less it’s got me thinking all about spring and the good things that come with it like flowers and sun! This month’s Goddess Provisions box fit right along with those thoughts of spring. The theme was “Flower […]

Tried-It-and-Liked-It: October 2016

It’s that time again! I’ve tried a ton of samples this month and wanted to share my favorite finds. With winter around the corner I’ve been drawn towards all things moisturizing. Have you tried any of these? What have been your favorite finds for the last month?? Check out my finds below: Northlore – Rosehip and Rosemary Toning Spray It looks like the formula for this product recently changed to be solely a Rosehip Toning Mist which is A-OK in my book because that’s a powerhouse ingredient that I’m sure still refreshes the same. Rosehips are full of Vitamin A, […]

14e: Aloe Nourish Foundation

Foundation can be tricky to tackle. Not only is there the challenge of finding the right color, but also since it covers all areas of your face, finding out how it reacts to those individual skin types. Will it dry? Will it be over-oily? Will it break me out? Will it crease or crack? Will it fade or run or melt? Ahhhh! So many things to worry about! Since I have pretty much all of those problems, it always seems extra tricky for me. But I’ve found a great option to avoid many of those negatives with 14e Aloe Nourish […]

Jane Iredale: Circle\Delete Concealer

Does anyone else have a tendency to hyper focus on their under eyes? I feel like mine are always puffy, uneven in color and are starting to crease as I get older. Aside from yawing, they are also the culprit of making me look much more tired than I usually am. I’m sure I’m being slightly dramatic, but I do have thinner under-eye skin so darkness can be a little more noticeable, especially in the inner corner. No joke, I’ve even been asked before if I’ve been in a brawl (and I definitely hadn’t been) – if that’s not something […]

Erin’s Faces: Brightening Eyeshadow Primer

Does anyone else out there struggle with eyeshadow creasing problems? Ya? Me too. I feel like a spend time carefully getting my eye makeup just right only to have it look like a hot mess of smeared eyeliner and blurry wingtips by the end of the day. It’s especially noticeable when the weather is warmer and everything has tendencies to melt. I also don’t think it helps that I feel like the more natural eye shadows I’ve been using have ingredients in them that may lean a little towards the oily side and contribute to it being a bigger problem […]
