December 2021 Subscription Box Favorites

December Subscription Box Favorites group

Another year of reviewing subscription boxes has wrapped up and somehow January is well under way! Last year was lightening fast and felt like a blur, but somehow in the midst of everything going on I found time to review so many wonderful subscription boxes. I wanted to do a yearly wrap, but life and time keeps marching on, so unsure if that will happen so for now I’ll just note here that I have so much fun reviewing boxes last year and discovered many useful helpful and fun things. That’s especially true for last month too. It was truly surprising that I managed to even find time during December to get my reviews done with the holiday and all, but I did (yay me!) and I’m glad as all the boxes I review really wrapped up the year with some fun things.

As usual, I’ve picked an item to highlight from each subscription box review I’ve done in the last month so you can get a taste for what comes in each. Be sure to click the link to get the full box reviews so you can get the complete details too! Many are linked over to A Year of Boxes where you can find discount codes and more if you’re interested in subscribing.

Meraki Botanicals Flora Mist

From Nourish Beauty Box (full box review here):
Meraki Botanicals Flora Mist ($17)

“A fine, soft mist that calms skin and hydrates hair with aloe vera as well as lavender, rose & neroli hydrosols.”

I like seeing this brand as a familiar one from another box as I enjoyed their other product I’d received. This Flora Mist smells just so lovely, a bright and earthy floral. I always love neroli so anything that includes it is an automatic favorite. I appreciate all-over mists since they are so versatile. This could even be used as a meditation elixir since it smells so grounding and uplifting.

Celestial Magic Ritual Lighter Case

From Goddess Provisions Box (full box review here):
Celestial Magic Ritual Lighter Case from Seed of Creation ($33)

“Upgrade your ritual tools for the turn of the season. This brass lighter case will adorn any regular-sized Bic lighter in magic.”

This is so cool! I don’t actually have a lighter (yet) that this case will work on, but now I have a reason to get one. I love the idea of jazzing up a boring lighter to make it look prettier and more vibey for an altar set-up. This will be perfect for pairing with a wintery candle or incense for a cozy meditation session. The energy it gives off is sure to enhance any rituals it’s added to.

Coconut Cream Dark Chocolate Bar

Another from Goddess Provisions Box because I couldn’t decide:
Coconut Cream Dark Chocolate Bar ($6.50)

“Enjoy a decadent treat without the guilt. This creamy dark chocolate bar is dairy-free, gluten-free, and free of refined sugars for a delightfully sweet treat.”

Yum! This sounds absolutely delicious! The caramelized coconut mylk flavor really intrigues me, it sounds so good. I like that this bar is made without refined sugar and only a handful of simple and organic ingredients too. I’m into the ritual of having a little chocolate square in the evening time and really look forward to trying this one out for a night time wind down.

5th dimension - Radiant Rose Face Mask

From November Vegancuts Beauty Box (full box review here):
5th dimension – Radiant Rose Face Mask ($28)

“Mix 1 part mask with 1 part liquid of choice, including water, serum or toner. Apply to clean skin, let sit for 5 min, rinse with warm water. Key ingredients include Kaolin clay which pulls impurities from skin, and minimizes inflammation, while rose promotes cell regeneration and balances PH levels.”

I love face masks and can never have enough so this item is great! I’m especially loving the color, the simple and organic ingredients and that it’s intended nourish skin and help it glow. It’s great that it’s a dry mask so it will last a long time too. I’m in need of a spa night so this one will come in handy very soon!

Tom & Luke Salted Caramel Snackaballs

From November Vegancuts Snack Box (full box review here):
Tom & Luke Salted Caramel Snackaballs

“Made with dates, cashews & New Zealand Sea Salt – great for any time of day.”

These sound delicious! I love anything salted caramel flavored and can’t resist it. I’ve really liked any of the snack ball type snacks this box has sent before so I’m sure these are great. They are super convenient and a fun way to have a sweet treat.

Onyx and Malachite Bracelet

From The Manifestation Box (full box review here):
Onyx and Malachite Bracelet ($29 value)

Each month a handcrafted gemstone bracelet is included. It’s personalized to your wrist size and made with carefully picked healing crystals based on the energies in the Universe to assist your practice. This month the bracelet inspired by “Holiday Harmony” is made with onyx and malachite. The information cards shared that: “Onyx helps one have self control and anchors one’s flighty energy into a more stable way of life. It is this stone of inner strength and endurance, helping one to carry even the most difficult task to completion.” and also, “Malachite is believed to be a strong protector. Malachite is a stone of balance, it helps you find a healthy balance in life, work and in relationships.”

The pairing of these strong, balancing and endurance filled stones couldn’t be more perfect for assisting with getting through the chaos of the holidays. Not only is this one a great daily grounding reminder, but it’s also so beautifully holiday appropriate. I’ve always loved the light green veining that runs through malachite and feel like the green color is especially fit for the season. It gives this bracelet extra charm!

Elderberry Syrup DIY Kit, Montana

From Wildflower Club (full box review here):
Elderberry Syrup DIY Kit, Montana

This is such a great item for a winter wellness kit. I’ve often used elderberry syrup, but I’ve never made my own. I have always wanted to try a kit though so I’m excited to find this item in the box. It sounds pretty easy and I love that you can control the ingredients you add into it to make a super fresh batch of syrup.

Cinnamon Swirl Goat Milk Soap, Windrift Hill, Montana

And another from Wildflower Club because I couldn’t decide:
Cinnamon Swirl Goat Milk Soap, Windrift Hill, Montana

I just love handmade soaps and get so excited when one is included in a box! This one smells so wonderful, like a clean and crisp cinnamon. I like that it’s not overly sweet, but is refreshing and inviting. I think it would be the perfect aroma to wake you up and warm you up in a morning shower. The goat’s milk will also be soothing to dry winter skin. This soap is perfect for winter time!
