October Box Details

This is my first time receiving and reviewing Nature’s beauty box and I have to say I LOVE it! What I like about it is that it’s basically a box curated with sample or trial sizes so that for a low cost you can get multiple items to try out at once. There happens to be 8 total items in this month’s box (if you count each facial serum separately). I mean, what a steal?! And even better- it appears that the lipgloss is actually a full size (while the remaining items are trial size). I really like this idea because that means more brands/items that you can learn about each month and it creates less waste since sometimes subscription box items aren’t my taste or wouldn’t work for my skin so I don’t end up using them. Speaking of, another cool feature of this box is that subscribers fill out a beauty profile quiz so that items will be tailored to your skin needs and match what you’re actually looking for. Since I was sent this box in exchange for a review, I didn’t fill out the quiz, but it doesn’t matter because whoever chose the contents must be able to read my mind since I love each item! The items included are all from interesting brands that I’ve never tried before and are all made with clean and natural ingredients – right up my alley. I can’t wait to dig in and give these all a test run!

Here’s a look at what I received in this month’s box:

Caley Cosmetics Beachy Lip Gloss in Coconut Kiss – (full size is $16)

“The lightweight, silky formula glides like water to deliver brilliant shine with a touch of sparkle. From the gym to the grocery store, to a night out on the town. This healthy lipgloss gives the most natural finish that will take you anywhere.”

This lipgloss is really pretty and the perfect neutral color. It looks a bit orange-y in the tube but applies sheer to enhance natural lip colors just a bit. It has just the right amount of gloss and no crazy shimmer. It smells just like the name suggests- beachy, which I happen to love. It’s like sweet coconut, maybe like a pina colada. Yum! It has no artificial fragrances so the scent comes from natural sources. It has no artificial dyes and is made without sulfates, phthalates, silicones or petroleum. I will be using this one a lot for sure!

Vo Beauty Sleeping Beauty Mask (1oz size is $22.50)

“This innovative, multi-purpose gel mask can be used as an overnight mask, moisturizer or makeup primer. Give your stressed, dry or dull skin an intense does of moisture.”

This product is really intriguing to me! I’m definitely in need of some serious hydration as we head into winter so I will be testing this soon for sure. I’ve never tried an overnight mask so I think that’s where I’ll start with the use. A thin layer at night on clean skin is said to lead to hydrated, toned and plumped skin the next morning. It’s made with royal jelly, which is secreted by honey bees, and provides deep softening and hydration for skin. It contains complex B vitamins, amino acids, fatty acids and minerals to nourish skin while you sleep. I really like that it’s an oil free hydration option since I’ve been minimizing oil application to my skin currently. It smells amazing – like sweet roses – and would be the perfect relaxing scent to fall to sleep to.

Wallflower Wildflower Eye Bright Serum (full size is $26)

“Cools, depuffs, brightens and tightens the under eye area with soothing blue tansy, cypress and frankincense. Lightweight, deeply penetrating oils help to reduce the look of fine lines while plumping, hydrating and illuminating.”

This is a lightweight under eye serum that’s said to brighten and de-puff tired eyes. I’m always on the hunt for help in the under eye department so I’m curious to put this to the test. It’s made with simple and all natural ingredients like blue tansy (calming and gives the serum its beautiful color), cypress (that’s for firming and tightening), and frankincense (for fine lines). It smells SO good- a little fruity and a little sweet. It would be a great pick-me-up and mood-lifting scent in the morning.

P.T. Pure Organics Sugar Body Scrub (2oz is $10)

“Scrub away dead skin cells and dry skin, and end up with smooth soft skin. This perfect scrub improves your circulation and reduces the dimples of cellulite as well.”

I love a good body scrub! There is nothing better than smooth and exfoliated skin. This scrub is made with only 100% natural and organic ingredients including coconut oil, fair trade sugar, olive oil, shea butter and lemon oil. The sugar sloughs off dead skin cells and improves circulation and blood flow while coconut oil, olive oil and shea butter hydrate and soothe. It has a light and pleasant scent like a lemon/coconut macaron. This trial size comes in a metal tin and the larger sizes come in glass jars for easier recycling.

Indie Goat No4 Conditioning Bar (full size is $9)

“This conditioning bar is a powerhouse multi-talker for your skin! It’s smooth texture and infused rose petals will soothe and polish your skin, while naturally ridding it of impurities.”

I love, love, love hand crafted soaps and I don’t often receive them in subscription boxes so I was excited to find a little sample in this collection. These soaps are beautiful and the packaging for the full size item is very eye catching- I would buy it based on looks alone! This soap is crafted with goats milk which is very nourishing and hydrating for skin. It’s also made with rose petals to polish skin and provide soothing along with geranium oil to give it a beautiful scent. You can use this bar on your face or body and it’s good for any skin type from dry to oily.

Indie Goat Facial Serum Sampler Set (each full size is $32)

“These facial oils restore moisture to your skin soothing your skins dehydration, by sinking right into your skin. Powerful ingredients are absorbed directly into the skin to lock in the moisture, by penetrating deeply delivering a high concentration of active ingredients.”

I think this might be a bonus item in the box because there wasn’t an information card for it (I grabbed the info above from their website). If so, what a great bonus item! This facial serum sampler set includes 3 different face oils, each for different skin types. No1 is the Balancing Facial Oil and is made with jojoba and argan oils, No2 is the Brightening Facial Oil and is made with jojoba and evening primrose oils, and No3 is the Anti-Aging Facial Oil and is made with argan and hemp seed oils. They all smell really pleasant and light, yet have distinct aromas – No1 is tea tree + lavender, No2 is geranium, and No3 is lavender. I could really benefit from any of the 3 of these so I look forward to testing them all out. There is probably enough in each trial for several uses.

Final thoughts:

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I really love this subscription box! It’s a well rounded and thoughtful selection of items. It includes items from all different categories – from skincare, to body care to makeup- nothing overlaps! Not to mention that, but every item selected is made with all natural ingredients I trust and would use on my skin. I really enjoying testing out samples and discovering and trying out as many different brands as I can so this type of box is perfect for me.

If you are interested in trying this subscription box for yourself I’ve kindly been offered a discount code for my readers to use to get 20% off of a subscription or a store purchase. That means you can get this box for about $12.80/month- now that’s a real steal. Enter code: NBB20 to get that 20% discount. And be sure to let me know if you try this subscription box out!
