2016 Green Go-To’s

Somehow, here we are in 2017 my friends. 2016 was a whirlwind that passed so fast it’s left me scratching my head wondering how?!? I sure hope this next year isn’t any faster and is only jam packed with adventure and positivity and tons of going green. I tried and tested so many products in 2016 and I loved them all! It’s hard to pick a favorite so I decided to round up my tried-and-trues that I keep coming back to instead. These are the products that I currently can’t live without and have purchased repeatedly. You could call that “favorites” but I don’t like to pigeonhole. Without further ado, my 2016 go-to’s are:

Acure: Facial Cleansing Cream
I’ve tried other face washes but this one is honest and gets the job done. It’s budget friendly and can be found many places. I’d be willing to admit that this my favorite face wash, shhhhh don’t tell the others.

Thayers: Witch Hazel Toner
This toner is gentle, soothing and hydrating. It’s made with simple and clean ingredients. It’s also budget-conscious and can be found multiple places.

Uma: Deeply Clarifying Face Oil
This is luxury people. I almost wish I didn’t love it so much, but I do! It’s ingredients are incredibly pure and work to balance and moisturize skin while fighting blemishes and impurities.

14e: Aloe Nourishing Foundation
This foundation is the perfect coverage and weight and doesn’t break me out. It comes in sever colors and a lighter weight option too. It gives me confidence when I’m feeling extra anxious about my temperamental skin probz.

Zuzu: Luxe Liquid Eyeliner in Raven
This is the best liquid eyeliner I’ve found so far. I love a good wing and this helps me get it done right. It stays put all day and comes off easily with makeup remover. It’s also the least smudegy of eyeliners that I’ve tried.

Root Pretty: Pressed Eyeshadow Pigment in Snow Peach
This is my everyday eyeshadow. It’s a neutral, light, shimmery peach color that likely works with all skintones. It’s a rich pigment that stays all day and doesn’t fade. A little goes a long way so it lasts forever.

Dr. Bronner’s: Organic Shaving Soap, Unscented
This is super natural and I love that it’s certified organic. It lathers up nicely to protect and moisturize skin for a close shave. I like the natural nutty sweet scent too.

Eco Brow: Brow Defining Wax in Sharon
Somewhere along the way my brows decided to give up on looking good. This product has saved my sanity. It’s given my brows life and makes me feel put together. Even when I put minimal makeup on, I’m sure to sweep this through my brows for definition, shape and a hint of color. It keeps them in place, and me from looking unruly.

Rachel’s Plan Bee: Body Oil
I’m in love with body oils. They can do no wrong and steal me a minute of self care in my busy days. I particularly love this one because it’s hydrating, non-greasy, absorbs quickly and orange vanilla scent is incredible.

Flourish: Lavender Mint + Clover Silkening Serum
This makes my hair so soft and smooth and makes my blonde look healthy. Best of all it doesn’t weigh my fine hair down. I use it before blow-drying but you could probably use it as an after styling frizz tamer too.

Brush with Bamboo Toothbrush
I was skeptical about giving up the toothbrush bells and whistles I was used to but this gets my teeth just as clean. The brush holds up well and lasts an appropriate amount of time. The product and packaging are all eco friendly and sustainable too.

Jason: Sea Fresh Toothpaste
It’s a bit of a change switching to natural toothpastes but this one makes the transition easier. It still sudses up pretty nicely, it gets things clean, strengthens teeth and keeps my breath minty fresh.

Erin’s Faces: Brightening Eye Shadow Primer
I can’t go a day without this stuff. It single handedly saves my eyeshadow and keeps me from looking like a hot mess. I have no creasing problems at all when I’ve primed with this genius product.

W3LL People: Realist Setting Powder
This pulls my look together and sets my make-up in place. It tones down shine and keeps the greasies pace down to a slow walk. It doesn’t make my paler skintone look ghostly either.

Briogeo: Rosarco Milk Reparative Leave-in Conditioning Spray
My hair is gets knotty so I can’t be without my detangler. This one does what it says; it conditions my hair and makes combing after washing less of a task.

There you have it! What I’ve been using this year. I’m always up for trying something new so let me know you’re favorites from the last year too. And stay tuned for more green favorites coming your way this year.

Have a happy, fresh and green New Year friends!
