Meet the holy grail of eye make up removers. No seriously, this stuff is the best I’ve ever used. Usually even if I find a product I really like I’ll still be willing to try another because you never know, it could be better. Well the search stops here with Urban Oreganics Makeup Remover. Don’t even try to convince me there’s a better option. Clearly it’s my fave since I order multiple at a time. I just can’t possibly run out without a back up!
EyeMakeupRemover2 This eye make up remover is made with organic aloe vera juice, distilled water, alcohol free witch hazel, organic fractionated coconut oil, nonGMO vitamin e oil. All sorts of soothers for your peepers right there. You can also add in an optional essential oil, rose or lavender, for added benefits. Lavender would be a nice relaxer right before bed. I’ve only tried the unscented and it has a natural lightly fresh scent. It’s barely there, but there is a hint.

What I like most about this eye make up remover is how effortlessly it whisks away my makeup, mascara included. I generally always wake up without raccoon eyes so I know it works like a charm! So many other removers I’ve tried make it feel as though you’re scrubbing your eyes and leave behind traces that show up in the AM, but not this one. It only feels as if you’re soothing your eyes. It feels like I’m actually taking care of them, which is especially important, as the under-eye area is one of the most delicate areas of skin. I’ve read before that (and it could be hooey, but it seems legit) if you tug at pull at that skin rather than being gentle, it can exacerbate the baggage and wrinkles produced. I don’t know about you but I have enough of that going on so a gentle remover is just what I need. Aside from how well it works, I just love the fact that it’s organic and that it comes in such a chic glass bottle. The simple design is perfection! If you haven’t already, do yourself and your eyes a favor and get some of this right away!

BrushCleaner

So I’ve gushed a ton over the eye make up remover (because it’s the bees knees) but I’d be remiss if I didn’t also mention the Brush Cleaner. Before I found this product I tended to go too long between brush washings. Not because I didn’t want to wash my brushes, but because I’d just forget. Having this product on my bathroom counter reminds me to do it before it gets too late. The convenience of this product is key. All you have to do is wet your brush and swirl it inside the jar. It sudses up really nicely and then I just rub the brush to make sure it’s thoroughly getting clean. After that I just rinse under water and voila! – clean brushes. All you have to do after that is wipe the surface of the pot clean and air-dry your brushes.

This brush cleaner is made with organic coconut oil and olive oil that are both antibacterial and also condition the brushes. It also has jojoba oil which helps to remove excess oils. These ingredients are all so important and perfect because dirty brushes can harbor bacteria, which can clog pores and cause infections.

CleansingGrains

Each time I’ve ordered I’ve gotten a sample of the Cleansing Grains and I wasn’t totally sure what the benefits were until I looked it up the other day. It’s a mild soap free cleanser that is made without water, as water can harbor bacteria. Because of that, this cleanser doesn’t need a preservative like so many others do. Yay to no preservatives! You add in the water when you use it by adding a small bit of water to a small bit of grains and then just rub on your face for a gentle detoxifying cleanse. It’s made with soothing oats and kaolin clay – both anti inflammatory. I just tested it out this weekend for the first time so I can’t comment on extended use, but it was really nice and made my face feel “just the right” clean afterwards.
