You’ll find info on 100’s of boxes by category that you can directly subscribe to, reviews, coupon codes, spoilers, giveaways and more! So if you’re at all into the monthly fun of subscription boxes you have to check out A Year of Boxes.

#2- My first box to review is Yogi Surprise! Yoga has been saving me lately and so I was beyond stoked to receive this box to review. It’s a monthly wellness box to with products that have a mission to elevate your yoga practice on and off the mat. The products are non-GMO and cruelty-free and will always have a guaranteed value of over $70. My review below was first posted here on the A Year of Boxes website so I’m just reposting here to share the love! Read on to see what awesomeness was included!

The April Yogi Lifestyle box theme is “Your Spring Cleanse”

“Yes it’s that time of the year, time to cleanse your body, mind and spirit with some nurturing and transformational practices. We’re excited to share really great gifts to support your practice. This is why for the month of April, we’re offering you an assortment of gifts that will ground your spirit, assist in healing imbalances, boost your confidence, and energize you. Take the time to nature yourself this April and embody your full potential, with vitality and joy.”

I think spring is one of the best seasons (and that’s not just because I have a serious disdain for winter!). It’s because after the darkness and dreariness of the season before, nature instantly comes back alive! Not only do we get extra daylight and are able to finally breath some fresh air but re-birth and bursts of color are happening everywhere. There’s just such refreshing energy all around that it only feels natural to refresh things in life including your yoga practice too. This month’s box is intended to help do just that.

Here’s a look at what was in this month’s box:

MaZi Classi Mini Turkish Towel ($24)
I love this towel, especially because the color is just so beautiful! But I have to admit that before I read the description on this item I wasn’t exactly sure how I’d incorporate this into my practice. Now that I’ve read it, I’m stoked to use it as a mat towel since some yoga practices that get the blood pumping also make my hands a bit slippery on the mat. This should totally come in handy for those flows, especially since it’s 100% pure cotton which is ultra-absorbent. It’s also definitely large enough (24×43 inches) to roll up the long way and use as a yoga strap, so I’ll be using it for that too. A bonus about this product is that they plant a tree for every towel sold. I love companies that do their part to regenerate the environment and take care of mother earth.

Good Earth Emerald Green Tea ($12.99)
I actually don’t drink caffeine so I’m not sure if I’ll ever test this product out. I do however, love that it’s organic and is made with only the best tea leafs. I also appreciate that it’s loose leaf so there there is the option of less waste when used with a reusable infuser. The brand’s herbal tea flavors like “Rosa Jamaica” & “Minty Madness” look more up my alley so I’ll have to check those out some time!

OlioBeauty Harmony Wellness Mist ($12)
I love adding aura mists to the beginning of a yoga or meditation practice. It helps set the tone and like the description says, clear out any negative energy. This one has an uplifting scent (woodsy citrus) so I think it would be perfect for a wake-up practice to get your day going.

Chocolatey Coconut Rise Bar (single bar is around $2.35)
Two things I love for snacking: things that are chocolate and things that are quick & easy. This bar checks both boxes so I’m excited to try it. Protein is an important component of snacks too because it keeps you full in-between meals and this bar is packed with it. I also love that the list of ingredients is short and that most of them are organic. This bar is also vegan and gluten free so is good for people with specific diets.

Gogh Jewelry Design Tree of Life Keychain ($29)
I love stones, especially grounding and calming stones like these as they can serve as a reminder to bring calmness to your being whenever you see them. Since my keys are with me often and I get them out several times a day it will be a convenient grounding reminder. One cool thing about the lava stone is that you can add a drop of essential oil to it and it will hold the scent for around 8 hours – so add some lavender oil for an extra calming effect! I like that this keychain is simple and small and know it will be a perfect addition to my key ring.

Elyptol Hand Sanitizer Wipes (single 10 pack is around $3.00)
I always seem to have had wipes with me because you just never know when you’ll need clean hands so I will definitely be using this product. I love that they are biodegradable and have limited ingredients. The germ killing ingredient in these is ethyl alcohol which is much safer than what is conventional hand sanitizers but can possibly dry out skin, that would be my only slight downside with these, but they’d be perfectly fine to sanitize a yoga mat.

Extra Surprise Gift: Jewelry
First of all, I LOVE surprises so it’s really fun to have something in the box that’s unexpected. This jewelry is beautiful and I love the color turquoise, however it’s not totally my style so I’m not sure if I’ll wear or not. It would look really nice with a black jersey dress, so perhaps I’ll keep it in mind for that!

Final thoughts:
This was my very first Yogi Surprise Box and I have to say that overall I really liked it. I’m impressed with the amount of items and the value (over $80). I think the items really fit the spring cleaning theme, at least in the refresh sense. I appreciate the thoughtfulness that goes into curating the items, the writing of the copy and the creating of the art. So I especially love the little extras that come with it like that cute yoga sequence card up there for cleansing and preparing for the season ahead. I also appreciate that even if you’re not into yoga per say, that all the items would still be useful in other senses. I’m really looking forward to next month’s box- I can’t wait to see what they come up with!
